About Seiji

Structured coaching to bring out the potential in young musicians.

Seiji "Sage" Shiraishi is a musician, educator, mentor, and finance executive whose background blends musical excellence, leadership, and personal coaching. He studied trumpet with Mr. Ed Treutel who taught at The Juilliard School in Manhattan for over 40 years. At the University of Michigan, where he was a Dr. William D. Revelli Memorial Scholarship recipient, Seiji performed with the Michigan Marching Band and University of Michigan Big Band.

His teaching approach combines strong musical fundamentals with mentorship, confidence-building, and practical performance preparation. While his instructional expertise is trumpet, his broader passion is helping young musicians develop focus, resilience, and self-confidence both on and off the stage.

Seiji and his wife, Çiğdem, co-founded The Angels' Voices Foundation to support children facing sudden hardships. Inspired by the life and legacy of Seiji's late wife, Cristina, the foundation reflects Seiji and Çiğdem's shared belief in encouragement, opportunity, and community. As a father of two, Seiji brings those same values to his teaching, helping students grow not only as musicians but also as confident and compassionate individuals.
